What is Ovulation?
Ovulation is the process in which a mature egg is released from the ovary. Typically, during a menstrual cycle, hormonal signals prompt the growth and maturation of ovarian follicles, culminating in the release of a mature egg during ovulation.
Types of Ovulatory Dysfunction
Anovulation: Some women with PCOS experience anovulation, where the ovaries fail to release an egg during the menstrual cycle. This can result in irregular or absent menstrual periods.
Delayed Ovulation: In other cases, ovulation may occur later in the menstrual cycle than usual, leading to unpredictable timing and difficulty in conceiving.
Ovulation Tracking
We recognize that many women with PCOS experience irregular periods, making it challenging to accurately predict ovulation. However, for those who have regular menstrual cycles, an ovulation tracker tool is provided to help monitor and track ovulation patterns.
